A GREAT LOVE IN LETTERS - ANTON TSCHECHOW AND OLGA KNIPPER
Sensual and tender, then again brusque and bold - so wide is the range of feelings in countless letters from these spirited lovers. The banalities of everyday life and only half-serious insults were the subject of daily writing between the famous author and the celebrated actress.
At the 3rd “Big Spring Reading”, the audience was immediately exposed to this interplay of feelings and thus enthusiastic witnesses of a glamorous, entertaining and very mischievous performance. Classic, happy and melancholy songs, arranged in a touchingly unusual way, alternated with staged scenes.
The outstanding actors, Teresa Weißbach and Christoph Tomanek, known from numerous cinema, TV and theater roles, played on the stylish stage by Geigenbau Schellong Osann in a very charming way and visibly enjoyed the special atmosphere. Before that, ELBWOOD offered ice-cold drinks, stimulating conversations and, of course, fine writing instruments to see and try out. This wonderful evening ended with more joint talk and writing.
