ELBWOOD - The Hanseatic Penmaker

POCKETMASTER pocket fountain pen, special edition "Hammerschlag" made of solid 935 silver, handmade

€1.650

Pocket fountain pen, solid 935 silver in hammered technique.

Completely made of solid silver, driven by hand and provided with a hammer blow technique. Every single shot is set by hand. Countless hammer blows result in a unique image and an extraordinary haptic experience.

All parts of this pocket fountain pen are made of solid silver (weight: approx. 73g). Also the embedded mechanism with the three-speed thread, which ensures that the cap can be put on with a positive fit with just one and a half turns.

At just 10 cm long, the POCKETMASTER is probably the smallest full-size fountain pen in the world. If you unscrew the cap and screw it back on at the back, you get a perfectly balanced writing instrument that you will enjoy using. The short cap and the shaft expose the ribbed grip zone in the middle and thus create a very special eye-catcher.

The 0.5 mm deep furrows are cut into the material using a special knurling cutter and ensure secure spring guidance. The short end piece has a thread onto which the cap is screwed to extend it.

Its design language is reduced, elegant and absolutely timeless. It is heavy in the hand and feels extremely valuable. Its weight allows the pen to glide over the paper as if by itself. The POCKETMASTER fits comfortably in even the largest of hands. Screwed together, it disappears in your pocket.

Frank Pressentin is creative craftsman with artistic demands on form, material and quality. His brand ELBWOOD - The Hanseatic Penmaker moves with international ambition at the interface of applied art & design.

The machines in the atelier workshop are precise, old and mechanical analogue. They are controlled by hand - not digital. Frank Pressentin always works from full material and designs directly on the running lathe. Emotions are transferred via the hand to the work - like a sculptor.

This guarantees that no piece is ever truly equal to. As he sees it, this is the only way to true one-offs.

The nibs are considered the heart of a fountain pen. The nibs, exclusively embossed with the ELBWOOD logo, are made by JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH - one of the world's most renowned manufacturers of this rare art.

The nibs used in this special edition consist of a fully rhodium-plated or a partly rhodium-plated (bicolor) 18 carat / 750 gold nib and are in four nib widths available:

EF - Extra fine / F - Fine / MMedium / B - Broad

The POCKETMASTER is filled with a standard ink cartridge.

Length closed: 10cm / length open: 12.5cm / diameter: 12.8mm / handle: 11.4mm / weight: approx. 73g

The silver will change over time and with use. It tarnishes and develops the patina so popular with connoisseurs. If you don't like this, you can polish up your writing instrument at any time. However, this is not a reason for complaint - I consciously choose materials with "obstinacy".

This fountain pen only gets more beautiful with age.

This special edition POCKETMASTER pocket fountain pen made of silver 935 is continuously made to order. Due to the hand-held hammer blow technique every piece is unique.
