“Only together can we establish a just peace in Europe that will last for generations.” Dr. Iryna Tybinka, Consul General of Ukraine in Hamburg
Lera Ginsburg, a Ukrainian artist living in Hamburg, works at the intersection of art, sound and psychology. Her projects explore how sound can be translated into tangible forms - be it through sculptures, jewelry or installations. For this particular pen, Lera used her technique to visualize the voice recording of the Consul General of Ukraine in Hamburg. Lera transforms the sound of the voice recording into a pulsating, spectral pattern whose colors and shapes react to frequencies and intensities in real time, creating a connection between audio and visual aesthetics. An immersive experience that makes the sound visible. This exciting visualization of these important words is engraved on the shaft of the two pens.
“Sounds are not just ripples in space - they become matter that shapes our memories and leaves a lasting impression. The project Matter. Sound. Form project transforms these invisible waves into tangible forms by translating meaningful sounds into symbols and art objects that tell personal stories.” Lera Ginsburg

Frank Pressentin is a creative craftsman and artist. In his Hamburg studio-workshop, he creates extraordinary writing instruments to customer specifications.
“It was exactly three years ago that I - inspired by other artists, craftspeople and penmakers around the world - initiated a support campaign of this kind for the first time. Since then, I have to admit, I have somehow become a routine and the daily news has replaced its original horror with a sense of normality. Distance helps to repress... In recent weeks, the clamor at the highest political level has become so loud and unmistakable that I thought I would like to do something again. We can do something! I am delighted that I was able to get Lera on board for this extraordinary collaboration project."

We will be giving away these two POCKETMASTER pocket fountain pens in the colors of Ukraine among all participants in this collection campaign. These are two high-quality ARTISAN PENS: Precious individual pieces made of ebonite “blue denim & ‘yellow’ and nickel silver (object value per piece: 3.650,- EURO).
The barrel is adorned with an engraving, which was generated from the words of the Consul General of the Ukraine in Hamburg, Iryna Tybinka.
The two fountain pens are fitted with an 18K gold nib in EF, F, M or B. The two winners can each choose the nib size. We will cover the costs of packaging and worldwide shipping. (Any import duties and costs depend on the country and must be borne by the winner).
Instead of an auction to the highest bidder, we have opted for a raffle. We think that in this way everyone can make a valuable contribution even with a small sum. One raffle ticket is 10,- EURO. You can buy as many tickets as you like. All you have to do is increase the number of raffle tickets in your shopping cart. If you buy more donation tickets, you increase your chances of winning one of the two fountain pens (50,- EURO = 5 tickets / 100 EURO = 10 tickets etc.). The ticket number corresponds to the order number on the order confirmation. Every ticket purchaser will receive a receipt.
The campaign runs until April the 6th.2025. Afterwards we will announce the two winners of the Pocketmaster and the amount collected.
All the money will go to the UN Refugee Agency (www.uno-fluechtlingshilfe.de/spenden-ukraine) to help support the people in Ukraine.
“The pen is mightier than the sword."
is a metonymic proverb created in 1839 by the English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton, suggesting that the written word is a better means of communication than violence. (wikipedia)
