ELBWOOD Premium stainless steel spring, black
This ELBWOOD stainless steel nib was PVD-coated in a elaborate process with the color black.
The minimalist embossing with the ELBWOOD logo shows the nib thickness or line width. Four nib sizes from Extra Fine to Broad are available for the premium stainless steel nib.
The type of production and the writing quality is similar to that of a gold nib. However, stainless steel is not as flexible as gold. The writing behavior is correspondingly different. The line becomes thinner despite the same nib strength. A stainless steel nib with line width "M" is more like an 18 carat gold nib with nib width "F". Basically: The wider the nib thickness, the softer the ductus. The smoother the paper, the richer the ink flow.
The extra-large iridium grain ensures that the ink adheres smoothly to the paper. The nib is ground and tested in meticulous handwork.
The writing nib is made exclusively for ELBWOOD by JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH - one of the world's most renowned manufacturers of this rare art.
Nib size: JoWo No. 6
All gold and stainless steel nibs have been interchangeable since January 1st, 2024.
