Enter the fascinating world of contemporary jewelry designer, illustrator, writer and botany enthusiast Nora Kovats from South Africa:

Through her boundless creativity, Nora has opened a window into an enchanting, imaginary world where botanical, animal and fungal forms merge into a unique visual language. An "identity hopper" with both South African and European roots, she is passionate about the way stories overlap and give meaning to our lives.

Nora's works tell of an enchanted inner space where the boundaries between disciplines blur and of an eternal, paradisiacal garden that combines both dark and light, melancholic and lively facets. Her works are characterized by daring colours, the three-dimensional use of space and fascinating s details.

Nora was particularly taken with the enamelling technique, because she appreciates its liveliness as well as the coincidence and the uniqueness that the firing process entails.

Her way into the art world began by studying contemporary jewelry design at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, followed by a successful Masters degree in Fine Arts. She then founded her own studio.
