ELBWOOD - The Hanseatic Penmaker

SHORTCAP, fountain pen, brushed brass with oak inlet, handmade

Elegant and classy - with a special eye-catcher. The SHORTCAP fountain pen shows what it's got. The shorter cap reveals the ribbed grip zone and reveals the precise craftsmanship of this high-quality writing instrument. The smooth longitudinal structure of the SHORTCAP is visually softened by the view of the vertical grip structure. The 0.5 mm deep grooves are cut into the material using a special knurling cutter and ensure secure nib guidance.

As a distinctive detail, the circular bases of the cap and body are filled with fine oak wood.

With its noble profile, the SHORTCAP fountain pen displays unusual variance. It appears light and "airy" and impresses with its balanced and minimalistic aesthetics. Geometrically clear and at the same time emotional, it cuts a particularly fine figure in the office or even in the negotiation room.

The nibs are considered the heart of a fountain pen. They are exclusively embossed with the ELBWOOD logo and are crafted by JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH - one of the world's most renowned manufacturers of this rare art.

The nibs are available in gold (18k/750) in four line widths:

  • ExtraFine (EF)
  • Fine (F)
  • Medium (M)
  • Wide (B)

and in the stainless steel variant with three line widths:

  • Extra Fine (EF)
  • Fine (F)
  • Medium (M)

The SHORTCAP fountain pen can be filled with the included converter as well as with international standard ink cartridges.

Length: 15cm / Diameter: 12,5mm / Weight: ca. 53g

The new silver will change with time and use. It tarnishes slightly and develops the patina so popular with connoisseurs. Who does not like this can polish it up again at any time. However, this is not a reason for complaint - I deliberately choose materials with "stubbornness".

This edition of the SHORTCAP fountain pen remains continuously in the program.

Production time & Delivery time

Every ELBWOOD writing instrument is handmade by me after ordering. One after the other. My products are not prefabricated and the individual selection requests of the customer (material, type of nib, thickness of nib, nib color, etc.) are decisive for the manufacturing process. For this reason, the writing instruments are excluded from the right of withdrawal .

The production takes 10-20 working days, depending on the order volume.

The delivery time is currently 4 - 6 weeks.

I grant a lifetime guarantee for manufacturing or material-related defects for every writing instrument manufactured in my atelier-workshop.
