For two years this special edition was available exclusively in the ZEIT-Manufakturenwelt. Now it can be ordered directly from ELBWOOD.
Timeless, classic SHORTCAP - a fine, handcrafted fountain pen made of 935 silver and oak inlets in cap and barrel. All mechanical parts of the fountain pen are made of solid 935 silver. Also the embedded mechanism with the triple thread, which ensures that the cap can be put on with just one turn.
The SHORTCAP shows unusual variance with its striking profile. It looks light and "airy" and impresses with its balanced and minimalist aesthetic. Geometrically clear and at the same time emotional, it cuts a particularly good figure in the office or in the negotiation room.
The 0.5mm deep grooves of the grip are cut into the material using a special knurling cutter and ensure safe nib guidance.
The nibs are considered the heart of a fountain pen. The nibs, exclusively embossed with the ELBWOOD logo, are made by JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH - one of the world's most renowned manufacturers of this rare art.
The nibs used in this special edition consist of a fully rhodium-plated or a partially rhodium-plated ( bicolor) 18 carat / 750 gold nib and are available in four nib strengths and nib widths:
EF - Extra Fine / F - Fine / M - middlemiddle / B - Broad
The SHORTCAP fountain pen can be filled with either the supplied converter or standard ink cartridges.
Length: 14.5cm / diameter: 12.5mm / weight: approx. 53g
The silver will change over time and with use. It tarnishes and develops the patina so popular with connoisseurs. If you don't like this, you can polish it up again at any time.
Wood is a natural material that "works". Despite years of pre-storage, small hairline cracks can occur if temperatures or air pressure conditions change significantly. However, this is not a reason for a complaint - I consciously choose materials with "character".
